Client success: Unison Contracting Services achieves ISO 9001 certification

News & Articles · Dec 2022

Asset Dynamics supported Unison Contracting Services Limited (UCSL) in the development and consolidation of its quality management system, culminating in ISO 9001 certification in December 2022. UCSL delivers electrical contracting services to electricity distribution customers in Rotorua, Taupo, Hawke's Bay and Dunedin.

Asset Dynamics' work with UCSL spanned quality management system design, process improvement, change management, and technical writing. The engagement helped UCSL establish a clear scope for its quality management system and develop a Quality Strategy aligned to the full range of services it delivers to customers.

UCSL Performance Manager Luke Gleeson reflected on the engagement:

Asset Dynamics were instrumental in assisting Unison Contracting in establishing our QMS. Asset Dynamics’ expert knowledge helped simplify and clarify how the ISO standard relates to our business.
— Luke Gleeson, Performance Manager, Unison Contracting Services
Before we engaged Asset Dynamics we were struggling to define the boundaries or scope of the QMS. They were able to resolve this in our first meeting. In consultation, they developed our Quality Strategy that defines how we will deliver quality across all the work that we deliver to our customers.
— Luke Gleeson, Performance Manager, Unison Contracting Services

The certification provides UCSL with a strong foundation for continual improvement in the quality of services it delivers to its customers.
